Implementation Details
The optical Y switch is a 1x2 switch which by controlling the control electrode ("control" property in "standard" setting), the input signal can be switched between the two output branches.. Following is an example of the optical Y switch element, please see example file Optical_Y_Switch.icp.
By default setting, the "control" value is "0" and the signal outputs to port 2; the output will be switched to port 3 when the "control" value is set to 1.
The "insertion loss" adds the loss to the activated output branch.
