Implementation Details
The optical switch is a 2x2 switch which by controlling the control electrode ("control" property in "standard" setting), the input signals can be switched to the outputs. Following is an example of the optical switch element, please see example file Optical_Switch.icp.

The control parameter is in the "standard" setting; when set to "0", the input signals to the two branches are directly transferred to the corresponding outputs; when set to "1", the input signals are switched to the outputs. The setting parameter is shown in the below figure.
The "insertion loss" adds the loss to both branches.
