New Lumerical - OptiSLang integration
All Lumerical products are now integrated with ANSYS OptiSLang enabling users to drive multiproduct simulation workflows and optimizations from OptiSLang.
New Features - DEVICE Suite
Layer builder supports electrical and thermal material models
The layer builder in the finite-element design environment now supports electrical and thermal material models in foundry process files.
Electrical and thermal material database included k.p model parameters for MQW
The electrical and thermal material database in the finite-element design environment now includes material properties for III-V ternary and quaternary alloys for simulations with the MQW solver including k.p model parameters.
New workflow for designing displays with Lumerical FDTD and SPEOS
New display workflows with FDTD and SPEOS allow simulation from nano-photonic pixel design to macroscopic human perception analysis in different ambient lighting environments.
New Features - SYSTEM Suite
Bias dependent tuning in CML Compiler ring_modulator photonic model
The ring_modulator photonic model in CML Compiler now supports tuning the modulation efficiency as a function of bias.
Run individual QA tests for CML Compiler generated compact models
CML Compiler users can now run individual INTERCONNECT QA tests for generated photonic compact models with new command line option.
