New keyboard shortcuts in script editor
The script editors in ANSYS Lumerical tools now offer keyboard shortcuts to switch between open files. Users can use Ctrl + PgUp to move to tabs on the right and Ctrl + PgDn to move to tabs on the left. They can also use Ctrl + Shift + N to open a new tab that matches the type of the current tab (new .lsf or .py file).

Quaternary alloy support in electrical/thermal material database
The electrical and thermal material database in the Finite Element IDE (CHARGE, HEAT) has a new material type for creating quaternary alloys from ternary alloys. The new material type allows users to pick multiple ternary alloys as base materials for creating the quaternary and use different interpolation schemes. Once a new quaternary alloy model is created, users can send it to the object tree as a semiconductor type material by picking the desired alloy fractions and then use it in their simulations.
Support for thick layers in "stackdipole" script command
The stackdipole script command in the STACK solver now supports "coherence break" layers similar to the stackpurcell script command, allowing users to model optical stacks with one or more thick layers where light loses its coherent nature.

Nonlinear IV models for thermal tuners in CML Compiler
The mach_zehnder_modulator and ring_modulator photonic models in CML Compiler now support modeling nonlinear I-V characteristics of the thermal tuners in these elements, giving them similar functionality as the phase_shifter_thermal photonic model.
New "sparsweep_pcell" photonic Verilog-A model in CML Compiler
The sparsweep_pcell photonic model in CML Compiler now supports generation of photonic Verilog-A models. This allows users to create photonic Verilog-A models for most passive photonic PCells (e.g. tapers or directional couplers with multiple parameters) for running photonic circuit simulations with EDA tools.
