This article shows some useful options that users can change after installing Speos.
Customizing Navigation Theme (Mouse)
Choose a navigation theme for the preferred CAD application or set each operation separately from the drop-down menu.

Enabling Beta features
Checking ‘Enable beta features’ reveals beta features on the menu.
Beta features are features still under development and may vary for each Speos version.
Changing Language (Spaceclaim)
Choose a language you want to use. User interface language related to Spaceclaim will be change to the selected one.
Changing Top view direction
This allows you to change the top view to Z, Y, or X. This setting is saved with the document and only applies to new documents. You may want to change this setting when you import drawings from other CAD applications that use a different upward direction. Recommended setting is ‘Z (Speos default)’.
Changing Number of threads for Simulation
Define the Number of CPU threads to use for direct and inverse simulations. Set less threads when you have the error saying, ‘Not enough ANSYS OPTIS HPC license.’ For more details, see also the Speos user guide: Not enough Speos HPC Licenses
Filtering Warning Messages
If there is a warning message you want to hide, set filters. You can uncheck what you want to hide.
Changing GPU Simulation/Live Preview Options
Select which GPU you want to use for simulation. You need sufficient Ansys Optis HPC licenses to use GPUs.
Check ‘Allow XMP generation from Simulation Preview’ to activate option to save a result file from the Live Preview window.

Changing Tool Guide Position
You can customize the location of the tool guide for selection of Speos feature.
Customizing Panel Layout
You can customize Panels by dragging them to the desired location. Drop it on icons, .
If a panel disappears or you want to reset customization, click ‘Reset Docking Layout’ button.
