In this subsection, we are going to learn about key elements used in time domain simulations
and important considerations for getting set up.
The simulation workflow for time domain simulations is the same to what we've discussed in the
frequency domain simulation section.
The part of the workflow that we are going to focus on in this section is where we add
sources, detectors and analyzers.
In the next unit, we'll cover different sources and excitation schemes commonly used in time
domain simulations.
The choice of whether to use Sample mode or Block mode must be made when setting up our
sources.
The numerical implementation of the source is typically defined by global properties,
which we'll discuss in the subsequent unit.
In the final unit of this subsection, we'll cover detectors and analyzers commonly used
in time domain simulations.
