Hi, I’m Milad, a support engineer at Lumerical.
I’ll be the presenter for this introductory course on our DEVICE Charge solver.
The charge solver is a physics-based electrical simulation tool for steady-state, transient
and even small-signal analysis of a wide range of semiconductor devices such as photodetectors,
modulators, and image sensors.
It works by solving a system of equations, known as the Poisson and drift-diffusion equations,
which describe the electrostatic potential and density of free charge carriers in semiconductor
devices.
This course will introduce you to the DEVICE design environment and give you hands on experience
analyzing semiconductor devices using the Charge solver.
If you need to design and simulate semiconductor devices and you have just started using the
Charge solver in Lumerical DEVICE, you will definitely want to enroll in this course.
I hope you will enjoy taking the course as much as I did while creating it!
