Transcript
The EME solver supports two types of monitors, in addition to the port objects.
Once the simulation is complete, these monitors allow you to record and visualize the index
profile and the profile of the propagating field.
If you want to obtain monitor results for a modified device length, you can simply change
the group spans in the EME analysis window, rather than redrawing the whole structure.
Once the group span has been modified, press the propagate button again, and the monitors
will be updated with the new propagation result considering the modified group span.
Note that the structures that you've defined in the Object tree won't be affected by this procedure.
To better resolve the field profile in the x-direction, you can adjust the "x resolution"
of the monitor.
Note that the resolution in the directions normal to the propagation direction is determined
by the transverse mesh settings in the EME object.
