In this subsection, we'll go over some tips for setting up Transient Sample Mode simulations.
Careful consideration is required for determining the properties of the digital filters and
the sample rate of the sources.
INTERCONNECT offers a lot of flexibility in terms of how digital filters are calculated
for each element, through multiple user-defined properties.
The choice of properties typically depends on the type of element and its role in the
circuit.
In the following units, we will recommend digital filter settings for waveguides and
S-parameter elements.
We will also revisit the ring modulator circuit presented in the Frequency domain simulations
section of this course and demonstrate how to update the properties for a transient sample
mode simulation.
