Hi, I’m Ellen, an Applications Engineer at Lumerical.
I’ll be presenting this introductory course on INTERCONNECT, which is used for circuit
level simulations of photonic integrated circuits.
Photonic integrated circuits have a wide range of applications, including optical interconnects
in data centers, LIDAR and bio-sensing.
Circuit solvers play an important role in the design eco-system of this rapidly growing
industry.
INTERCONNECT supports both frequency and time domain simulations of multi-mode optical signals,
and electrical signals, in bidirectional circuits.
A comprehensive element library is provided, along with the flexibility to build custom
models and import published foundry libraries.
INTERCONNECT can be used to simulate circuits like waveguide division multiplexers and optical
transceivers, and can be used for applications including optical circuit verification and
yield analysis.
This course is intended to get new users up to speed and productive with INTERCONNECT
in a quick and efficient manner.
It guides you through the process of setting up, running and analyzing frequency and time
domain simulations.
It provides a practical introduction to INTERCONNECT solvers, product features and workflows.
It also covers basic methods for creating your own custom compact model libraries, and
tips for working with published libraries.
Everyone who passes the course will receive an INT 100 training course certificate.
If you are new to INTERCONNECT, or an intermediate user looking to expand your knowledge and
practical skills, we highly recommend this course.
Let’s get started!
