When using the DGTD solver, and more generally, when using DEVICE, the first step in the standard
workflow is to set up the simulation.
You will start by adding the materials you need in your simulation.
Then you will define your structure, set up the simulation region, add and setup the solver,
partition the volume, define the boundary conditions, add simulation objects such as
source or monitors and check for errors.
Once the simulation is set, you can run the simulation itself.
After running the simulation, results will be stored in the monitors.
This data can be analyzed using the visualization tools or by conducting additional post-processing
using script commands.
In the process of designing a device, the device will usually be modified many times,
meaning that this process is repeated until the optimal design and simulation parameters
are found.
The built-in parameter sweep and optimization tool, which is out of the scope of this course,
can be used to automate this process.
In this section, we will utilize this workflow to setup a simulation for the specific example
of Mie scattering.
