I'm starting from the same simulation file of the MMI device as we used in the earlier
unit.
The simulation file is in Analysis mode.
In the EME Analysis window, click the "Propagation sweep" checkbox to enable it.
Then to sweep the length of the multimode interference region which is the second cell
group, set the parameter to "group span 2", and set the start and stop to 2 and 5 microns,
and the "number of points" to 51.
The interval will automatically be calculated based on these settings.
Click the "eme sweep" button to which will run the Propagate step 51 times with group
span 2 ranging from 2 to 5 microns.
After this is complete, click the "visualize eme sweep" button to get a plot of the user
s matrix S parameters over the range.
The transmission which is the absolute value of S21 squared is highest for the length of
close to 3.14 micons.
