The node license model is used for product evaluations, teaching licenses and purchased licenses that only need to be accessed on a single computer. This licensing model is well suited for customers who do not share the license with other users. The license is locked to the computer using Flexera's Trusted Storage mechanism. This allows the license to be securely transferred between computers, in cases where the original computer is decommissioned. This model does not require the FlexNet license manager. Available only on Windows and macOS.
End of Life
Support for the Node locked trusted storage license will end with Lumerical release 2022 R2. See this article in Ansys Learning Forum for details.
